Travel isn’t about checking destinations off a bucket list anymore. It’s about collecting experiences that inspire us, challenge us, and remind us there’s always something new to discover—whether that’s across the world or right in your own backyard.
When is the right time to take the trip you’ve always talked about?
For me, the answer changed after losing my mother shortly after she retired. It was a reminder that tomorrow isn’t promised. Later, a book challenged me to stop saving experiences for “someday” and start living them now.
That shift has taken me to the Camino, across Europe, and into adventures I might have once postponed. I’ve learned that Boldly Going isn’t about traveling farther it’s about living more fully while you can.
So when is the right time? I’ve learned it’s while you’re healthy enough to enjoy the journey and create the memories that last a lifetime.
